It is pleasing and puzzling to see that people liked it. I could understand the need for this but it would have been awesome if the author found a way to retain that while still being able to narrate the events from the other characters’ points-of-view. I could do without the Remote Six stuff. I’ll agree with what other reviewers have stated as the book being an absolute bore.
Xhattered was plenty of zombie mayhem involved and a lot of action and adventure. Bourne’s new book is snooze, snore, so far. The world lies in ruins…humanity’s last stand is underway…the dead have overtaken the living as the new dominant species.

Instead, we get two groups of special forces guys handling the majority of the action, as well as a few other stories interwoven into the narrative.

I’m giving this 3. A bit of a tame end to a series that started so well. We’re presented with several squads that are undertaking their respective missions, which, while unpredictable and had some suspense, became overbearing. We still don’t even get his name he’s simply ‘Kil’ aka ‘Kilroy’,Sayien’s nickname for him that apparently stuck. Bourne is on active duty as a commissioned US naval officer. Plague of the Dead.
