Due all of the discussion on the finer points of survival the storyline itself tends to suffer in continuity. The whole Indo boat escape and Australian military plot lines felt forced, while the Tavares Florida storyline arguably the strongest in the book was built up, neglected and hastily ended as the novel closed. This installment is a bit lacking in action otherwise it would have easily been a star book in my Another one on the good side of this up and down series. I may come back to it later. I think Rawles has redeemed his series and set it back on track towards continuing successfully with his next installment.
