I read this in the anthology Tapestryand I think it is the better nito of the two others books one and two I’ve read in the Highlander series. Did Moning ever do a story about him because I’d sign up for that with freaking bells on?
WOW, what a great series it was. Still, no mortal had ever bested a faery in such a bargain.
So please any info would be great. This is Moning at her romantic, funniest finest.
koning I am still wondering where this book fits into the Highlander Series. What bargain did he strike with this mortal? A little disappointed it’s over this way And it was nice to see that for once the girl in the book was the dominant one.
Long had the Unseelie king provoked her. It is wild and beautiful and its Cuillin Hills are mist-enshrouded. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. And makes sure they meet in the Dreaming.

I rather like Thee though he is absolutely no Dageus or Cian. Apparently, the King is barred from entering the human world and must trick, break and thoroughly destroy a strong human male to enter back between the worlds to do his bidding? I highly recommend not only this book, but this whole series!! For Fever fans – The Dreaming is a place in between worlds where mortals and fae meet and where true love is preordained.
A long-out-of-print novella by Moning The Immortal Highlander, etc. While they seem unrelated at first, they definately intertwine as the Highlander series progresses.
This book breaks the the mold as the MC’s stay back in time, 15th century I believe, but as I said it’s purpose was not about the MC”s but the interaction of the Queen ddreaming light and the King of the dark.
When Jane is transported back in time to save Aeden from the Unseelie King, we really get a glimpse of the undying love they have for one another.
This new edition of the novella contains more than pages of bonus material, including: And what better way to attract her man than to leave racy manuscripts strewn around the castle, to take sensuous baths by the fire, and to enlist the villagers to teach her how to cook?
So glad this gem was not missed. The rest of the “book” is previously published material and lots of new stuff- deleted scenes, part of the new graphic novel, etc Books by Karen Marie Moning. It is full of beautiful images, which can make you daydream: The lovers could meet in the Dreaming and share a lifetime of loving before they ever met in the mortal realm. However, I did like the idea that the Unseelie king had kept Aedan in Faery for years and tortured him I like angst and then deposited him back in Scotland for a month with no explanation.
There was a time when buying a Karen Marie Moning book was a sure bet for my personal library. She also gives the story line for Ghost of a Chance, with no mention of a expected release date.
Why couldn’t I have a few hundred more pages of Jane and her Aedan? I’m gonna be reading Iced next, to see where our Fever series is going next.
Thanks for telling us about the problem.
Into the Dreaming (Highlander, #8) by Karen Marie Moning
It would lay a grand foundation for success of her plan. Aeden is like an amnesiac. I absolubtely loved Aedan. What is better than sexy as hell Highlanders?? Aeden has lost his self ijto he is about to lose his soul.
But at night, her dreams are of a Highland warrior. Aug 30, valee rated it really liked it Shelves:
