Changing is possible, but requires considerable efforts. This is a fascinating book, looking at how we can change our brain from a neurological and evolutionary perspective.

The book does feel a b I really diapenza this book and as soon as I finished it I felt like re-reading it again, but I felt that it lost me in several chapters.

The br Evolve Your Brain is the best informational book that I’ve read this year. I read this book as I was going through radiation therapy for carcinoid tumors, and it gave me a dose of courage and hope that everything was going to turn out okay after all. Listened to the audiobook.

I’m all for the idea that if you have cancer meditate as much as want and visualize yourself with no cancer, but to suggest as a doctor to do that in lieu of any Medical treatment is a bit negligent to me. The brain has always interest me because of my cerebral palsy.

We can do that by focusing our conscious attention on who and what xispenza want to be or change and then, through mental rehearsal and consequent experience and repetition rewire our brain to BE what we WANT instead of what we let ourselves unconsciously become.

A bit less of the textbook stuff and more on the practicality would have made this a book to return to.

As a result, the opening words of the author become much more credible, because they are supported by a solid and reliable scientific knowledge. Even as adults we all still remember exactly where we stood in the high school social hierarchy, and the powerful emotions associated with our status persist decades later. I look forward to listening multiple times to absorb and to implement many of the suggestions and concepts presented.
